Welcome!
At Rambling Roots Academy, learning unfolds through experience rather than expectation. Children are immersed in intentional experiences, shared responsibility, and thoughtful exploration, cultivating confidence and a strong sense of self.
Rambling Roots Academy is an intentionally small early learning community for children ages 2–6, located in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Our program was created for families who value a thoughtful, intentional approach to early learning, one that honors curiosity, exploration, and connection as the foundation for growth.
Here, childhood is protected, learning is woven into play, and children are encouraged to explore the world around them with wonder and purpose.
Our Approach
Inspired by Montessori and Reggio approaches, our learning environments emphasize hands-on exploration, thoughtful materials, and experiences that grow from children’s natural curiosity. Educators serve as guides, observing closely, offering gentle direction, and supporting each child’s development at their own pace.
Through everyday experiences, shared responsibility, and thoughtful exploration, children grow in confidence, independence, and a genuine sense of belonging.
A Day at RRA
Rather than following rigid schedules, our days unfold through steady, predictable rhythms that provide both security and freedom. Children engage in play, learning, and exploration without feeling rushed.
